In group E which team is likely to play against Brazil in the next round, and what will be the outcome?

Observing the close possibility that any of the teams in group E can still qualify even though only one match is remaining - it makes it difficult to rule either team out. Especially with the upset that Ghana caused when they beat the Czechs two goals to nil, who are placed in second position in the FIFA rankings. So some more upsets can be expected in the remaining matches, which can easily go in either side.

The following combination can happen in this group:

1. CZE and USA qualify. This can happen only if CZE beat ITA and USA beats GHA.

2.ITA and GHA qualify.
This is possible if Italy wins against CZE and GHA wins against USA. Or if ITA beats CZE and USA and GHA draw.

3. ITA and CZE qualify. In both games there's a draw. Or CZE beats ITA & USA and GHA draw.

4. CZE and GHA qualify. This happens if Chzechs win against Italy and GHA wins against USA.

5. ITA and USA qualify. This happens only if ITA and CZE draw, and USA wins against GHA.

Quite an analysis but there are a few more permutations but I shall not bore you with those.



I think Ghana will meet Brazil. This is because in order to be sure of qualification, Italy needs a draw, but to be sure of avoiding Brazil, they must win and therefore they will go for a win and top the group which would leave Czech on 3 points.



A draw at least for Ghana against USA with the above scenario will see them leap frog Czech Republic and face Brazil. Ghana's 2 strikers are suspended for this match and they lost another 2 strikers through injury before the tournament. They are not scoring much but they are defending well.



So answer = Ghana!

Why: Ghana has a good striking distance and so does Italy Czech being #2 in the world for soccer has gotten weaken giving Italy a good opening to attack. USA has a weak goaly and weak defense they have to get someone to score a gooal for the like in Italy vs. USA.

Ghana did well in beating Czech Iwas crazily suprised when they won 2-0 Czech had a weak offense torwards the Ghana.

Ghana and Italy = 80%

USA = 5%

Czech = 15%
