Question:
Can anyone give me the detailed career achievements of oleg salenko? I only know he scored 5 goals in a WC gm?

Salenko is the only guy to score 5 goals in a world cup match. That's about all that's known of him. I'm interested in knowing more about this legendary footballer. Surely he must have achieved something at club level?

Oleg Salenko (born October 25, 1969 in Leningrad, Soviet Union) is a Russian soccer striker, who set a World Cup record by scoring five goals in one game, for Russia against Cameroon on June 28, 1994. Salenko finished the 1994 World Cup with six goals, sharing the Golden Boot with Hristo Stoichkov. (Making this feat more remarkable was that Russia was knocked out in the first round.)

On the club level, Salenko's career lasted from 1986 to 2000 and included Zenit Leningrad, Dinamo Kiev, Logroñés, Valencia, Rangers, and Istanbulspor.

Amazingly, Salenko scored only one other goal for Russia, and played a total of only nine international matches, one of them for Ukraine. Eventually, he faded from the international scene and finally had to end his career early for health reasons.
