once(1966) a year to forget. They were lucky, but they will never win it again.

ONE time in 1966, That's why they wear only ONE STAR above the England shield on the left hand-side of the chest, which tells you that they have only won the world cup once, if you see Brazil, they have 5 stars equals five world cup wins!..

Just Once.. Way back in 1966. The World Cup final was played in Wembly Stadium in London. England was also the host nation that year

Only one. It was in 1966 in your same country. England win 4-3 to Germany.

England won the World Cup in 1966 thanks to the efforts of a very talented crew of players including their captain and leader on the pitch,Bobby Moore, and a grinding playmaker,Nobby Styles. For England to win again they will need to recapture the passion that those players possesed for England. The 2006 squad will have to find their Bobby Moore and their Nobby Styles and I hope they do.
